Train to teach with Montessori

Want a qualification that definitely leads to job satisfaction? Montessori teacher training has just launched their first foundation degree in Early Childhood Practice. Work with children who love to learn from birth to seven. Great career opportunities await.

MontlogoWhat is Montessori?

Montessori was inspired by Dr Maria Montessori in the early 1900s and is now the world’s largest global education movement. It is used and acclaimed in 600 UK schools & 22,000 worldwide and continues to influence “mainstream” educationalist thinkers everywhere.

Montessori isn’t just for pre-school children. Some UK schools take children up to 11 years.

Montessori is holistic in approach and focuses on the individual child – allowing them to develop at their own pace. It is backed by the Government’s Early Years Foundation Stage.

Montessori children have a high level of cognitive attainment at age 5 – above the national average. They also show strong levels of positive social and behavioral development in all areas.

DCSF Consultation Pilot – get involved!

logo_dcsf

Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) have launched an interactive online consultation on proposals for young people leaving social care.

The DCSF consultation is a new approach to conducting consultations online and aims to engage as many potential respondents as possible. This is because when the Government is developing policies, it’s important to take into account the impact of the  proposals on different sectors of society. You can help shape policy for young people by giving your perspectives, ideas and feedback, whether you’re currently in social care, have left social care or are simply have an opinion. Click here for a summary of the consultation.

The goal of the consultation pilot is to make it easier to navigate the relevant documents, and help you find the sections that interest you. The pilot encourages open discussion by including a facility for participants to comment on the consultation as a whole, or on specific elements of the proposals. The consultation closes at midnight on 19 March 2010.
