To gain both practical skills and knowledge of a subject. Foundation degrees are fantastic for those who don’t quite fancy the whole hog of academic life at university, yet want to learn in an academic environment whilst gaining skills which can be easily applied to work.
How do I study a foundation degree?
You can study towards a foundation degree through a university, further education (FE) college or by distance learning with The Open University. They take about 2 years to complete full-time, slightly longer if you’re doing it part-time.
What are my options after a foundation degree?
Foundation degrees can lead straight to employment or, if you feel in the mood to learn more, you can study an extra year to turn that foundation level into a full Bachelors degree!
