Logica's Sponsored Degree Programme

Anonymous - Posted: 11th of November 2011

So you want a degree without the debt? How about having a career with a salary too? With Logica's Sponsored Degree Programme you will spend one day a week studying at the University of Winchester towards a BA (Hons) in Business Management and four days working in Logica (based either at our Reading or Leatherhead offices).

You'll receive a starting salary of £13,000 p.a on top of having your degree completely paid for as well as many other benefits. The work will involve working on real, live and exciting projects with clients across a range of sectors where you have the opportunity to develop and shape your career.

It gives you the opportunity to combine academic study with on-the-job training over the 3-year programme and you have a guaranteed job with Logica from day one. So on graduation you will continue your career with Logica, giving you the chance to apply all that you've learned, whilst taking a massive stride forward with 3 years commercial experience already under your belt (and of course no debt!).

2013 update: This opportunity is now called the CGI Sponsored Degree Programme following CGI's acquisition of Logica in 2012. The new programme runs on almost exactly the same basis as the previous set-up - same degree, same university, same locations and same benefits. Only candidates with A-levels or equivalents should apply. Please see the new CGI page for more details.

For interested applicants who have only completed GCSEs, CGI also run a 1 year apprenticeship programme for school leavers.
Run in partnership with local training providers, successful applicants will have the opportunity to study for the following qualifications:

- Oracle Certified Associate
- Java SE 7 Programmer
- Microsoft Technology Associate (Software Development Fundamental)
- Advanced Apprenticeship for IT, Software, Web and Telecoms Professionals
