If there’s one thing I love about The Open University it’s their flexibility. You can study and gain a foundation degree after a couple of years, wait for a while then top it up into an honours degree for example. No other uni offers so much flexibility in studying, enough from me, here’s what The Open University offer…
Over 600 ways to broaden your mind
The OU offers over 600 inspiring courses across 14 subjects that could lead to one of over 250 qualifications. Impressive numbers, but what do they mean for you? Choice and flexibility. You can work towards a certificate or an honours degree. Go down a defined arts or sciences route, or mix the two up a bit. No other university offers you as many ways to get where you want to go, or provides as much support to get you there.
Foundation degree or honours degree?
That depends on you! A foundation degree is a good bet if you’re already working in an area that you love but you want to boost your career options and earning potential. It will allow you to combine work-based learning with study at home to get a qualification which is really valued by employers.
An honours degree is a step up from a foundation degree and is the ideal choice for you if you want to get a really in depth understanding of a subject, and develop independent study and research skills. Because most honours degrees are very broad in what they cover, they will allow you to go into a whole range of professions afterwards.
