I joined PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) when I was eighteen, straight from completing my A Levels at College. I knew that I didn’t
want to go to University and therefore joining PwC as a school leaver was an excellent way of training to become an Accountant, without having the expense of going to University. The salary that I earned has also been very nice!
The HEADstart Assurance Programme offers opportunities in Tax and Assurance whilst getting qualified through ACCA. I particularly like the way that the ACCA study is structured; by studying in blocks and having spaces between tutorials and revision it means the course structures are very similar to sitting A Levels. Going straight into the workplace and not having a gap like University students, I have found it very easy to adapt to sitting the ACCA exams.
I know that once I become an ACCA member I will have a distinguished qualification behind me and I can look forward to a career as a fully qualified, Chartered Certified Accountant within PricewaterhouseCoopers with lots of opportunities before me.
