We are one of the top performing colleges in Greater London and offer a wide range of academic and vocational qualifications, ranging from the academically challenging International Baccalaureate Diploma to courses designed to meet the needs of students with learning difficulties. Our curriculum also includes a number of qualifications which meet the needs of employers and give students the skills required for the workplace.

2. Choice of subjects

We offer a large choice of subjects including 42 different AS/A2 levels ranging from Architecture to World Development, the International Baccalaureate Diploma, 8 Cambridge Pre-U Certificates, BTEC Diplomas at different levels in subjects such as Engineering and Performing Arts. We also offer a number of vocational courses including Catering, Construction Crafts and Hairdressing, as well as apprenticeships in areas such as IT and Sport.

3. Top performing college in Greater London

Over the past few years our students consistently achieve the highest average QCA point score per student for level 3 courses out of all the further education and tertiary colleges in Greater London. (www.dfes.gov.uk)

4. Excellent results

Each year, we achieve excellent results in both our academic and vocational qualifications, with a considerable number of subjects and qualifications achieving 100% pass rates. The College’s excellent teaching staff encourage all students to make the most of their time at college and help them reach their full potential.

5. International Baccalaureate Diploma

We are well established in running this highly regarded qualification which increases in popularity each year. Our results are well above the global pass rate and students go on to some of the world’s top universities.

6. Outstanding progression to higher education

We send around 900 students to higher education each year. In fact, we send more students to university from a single site than any other school or college in the UK. We have excellent links with a large number of UK universities and host an annual Higher Education Fair where many universities are represented.

Students are given plenty of advice and support when applying to university and we have a specialist advice service for Oxford and Cambridge candidates and those applying for medicine, dentistry and veterinary science.

7. Employer links

Many of our vocational courses involve a considerable amount of industry experience which gives the students the skills needed to go into employment and over the years we have developed good links with a number of medium sized and large companies that are able to offer our students work placements. In addition, each year, our Careers Centre arranges a Work and Training Fair where a range of employers and training providers promote the opportunities available within these organisations.

8. Exceptional student services and support

We aim to give all students the best possible learning experience in an environment that actively promotes mutual respect. We have a large student support team and offer an outstanding and comprehensive range of services and support. Every student has a personal tutor who will help them in all aspects of college life and encourage them to get the most out of their time with us.

9. Enrichment programme

We offer a wide and varied enrichment programme which includes music, dance, drama, recreational sports and Sports Academies and a number of clubs and societies. Our aim is to offer something for everyone and our enrichment activities give students the opportunity to meet new people outside their subject areas and for them to have a great time whilst they are learning. We encourage all our students to take up something in addition to their chosen study programme.

10. College environment and facilities

We are located on a single site in Twickenham and around 3,400 students choose to study with us. We are the local sixth form for the London Borough of Richmond but we also welcome students from across London and are proud of our diverse community. We have a number of enviable facilities including one of the best library and resources centres to be found in further education. We offer specialist facilities in the performing arts, media, art, construction crafts, engineering, science, languages, catering, hair and beauty, and sports departments along with an on-site sports field, gym and large sports hall.
