This course is designed to encourage
you to develop the personal skills and qualities needed for
work and learning and to achieve your full potential as well as
develop and improve your English Language skills. This is a
practical hands-on course designed and delivered to provide
you with the skills you need to enter employment or progress
on to the next level of study. This course is made up of eight
units of study which include:
• Communication and Individual Rights in Health and
Social Care
• Individual needs in Health and Social Care
• Human Lifespan Development
• Anatomy and Physiology
• Cultural Diversity in Health and Social Care
• Vocational experience in Health and Social Care
In addition, Functional Mathematics and English are integrated
into your studies to give you the option to achieve additional
qualifications to boost your opportunities for employment and
further study.
To achieve the Diploma you will need to undertake 60 hours of
work experience in a health and social care setting in the form
of a 3 week intensive block. You will have the full support of our
specialist work placement staff who are both highly experienced
health and social care practitioners and work placement
supervisors.
