Course Description
This programme is designed to develop computational thinking, including its relevance to everyday life. You will develop skills in modelling and the design of computer-based systems, as well as critical evaluation and testing skills. This programme recognises the professional, economic, social, environmental, moral and ethical issues involved in the sustainable exploitation of computer technology.

This programme can be studied over a minimum of 12 months, this may be extended to suit your individual needs for up to a maximum of four years.
Entry Requirements
For the full degree:
- Two ‘A’ levels passes (or equivalent)
- GCSE English and mathematics (or equivalent)
- English language ability equivalent to IELTS 6.0, where the medium of schooling was not English.
Or, for the final year top-up:
- BTEC Level 5 HND Diploma in Business (Computing)
- English ability equivalent to an IELTS score of 6.0.

Workload
We recommend an average of 24 hours study time per week for this programme.
Exemptions
For this qualification, we may allow you to transfer credit for relevant study completed elsewhere. However, this only applies to stages 1 and 2. No exemptions are allowed from the final year top-up (stage 3). Exemptions are considered on an individual basis when you submit an application form. Please note that we cannot consider work experience alone for exemptions.
