Content

: This course helps students to develop the skills and knowledge required for Health and Social Care sector at an advanced level. Work experience on the course is a 2-week block per year. Course content: Developing effective communication skills Equality diversity and rights Health safety and security Development through the life stages Fundamentals of anatomy and physiology Personal and professional development Sociological perspectives for health and science Psychological perspectives Working in the social care sector After this course: Higher Education or employment.

Entry Requirements

: You must be aged 16-18. Students need to have 4 GCSE passes (Grades A*- C) including English and ideally Maths Science or level 2 in the initial College assessment or have a level 2 vocational qualification with a Merit or Distinction. Please note: You must provide the evidence required to apply for an enhanced CRB check. You will be given more information about this when you apply for the course.
