The course is designed to enhance ‘life skills’ for students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities and to offer the opportunities to progress into further education or into supported employment or training. Students will learn a range of independent living skills through classroom and enrichment activities and will experience a vocational areas which include Construction, Horticulture, Hospitality & Catering, Creative Arts and Media.

Entry requirements:  

No formal qualifications required. Interview and initial assessments will determine level
 

Assessment:  

Portfolio of set assignments
 

Qualifications: 

Edexcel Certificate / Diploma in Skills for Independence and Work

 

Progression:  

Work and Life Skills or the Steps to Employment courses. Supported employment. Adult Resource Centres
