This course teaches you practical parenting skills and how to care for children. Content This is an introduction to childcare and provides opportunities to develop basic skills and knowledge within the childcare sector.Entry level is made up of different units where you must achieve a minimum of 18 credits to complete.These include units such as listening and talking to children, eating healthily, routines for children, play and learning, contraception and health and safety.You will also study English and Maths functional skills throughout the programme dependant on individual requirements. Entry Requirements No formal entry requirements, however students will need to have basic skills at Entry 2-3 level and demonstrate a willingness to learn and progress.Please note that an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check will be required before going into employment.
