Age Requirements: 16 and Up


This course suits international students who have completed their secondary school studies in their own countries and wish to improve their English language and study skills with a view to progressing to a UK university.

You will specialise in one of: Business Science, Sports Science or Management Media.

You will divide your time between academic English language and options of Business & Maths, Science & Maths, Sports Science and Management or Media. There will also be allocated classroom time for self-study on work as directed by your tutors.

The programme has advanced standing at both Loughborough University, the University of Portsmouth, Leicester University and Nottingham Trent University. Students on the course who are made an offer by either university will be guaranteed a place on the first year of an appropriate full-time undergraduate programme, providing they reach the required standard (including any subject specific requirements) and have an IELTS score of 6.5 or 7.0.

It is possible to progress from Foundation Science to a business related degree, and some universities prefer this route, as their degree programmes assume no prior knowledge of business.
