Unique job opportunities to undertake a Software Developer Apprenticeships with a Local Software business and the UK’s leading IT training company.
QA have a variety of partner companies ready to recruit software developer apprentices and support them through a 12 month programme that will commence in February 2012 leading to a career using .NET technology to create web applications and Windows forms.
About the Apprenticeship:
There are 'Work-Based Learning’ apprenticeships with a Software company in your area, although at times you will be required to stay at a central academy location as you study towards industry recognised qualifications, whilst earning an initial salary of £150 per week!
Training:
This programme is fully funded by the government for 16 - 18 year olds, and partially funded for 19-24 year olds. Your employer is also committed to the continued development of your skills and experience.
Entry Requirements:
This is an outstanding software career opportunity for talented, committed, and reliable individuals, and we are seeking candidates with high potential. We are looking for exceptional applicants with a strong educational background in either Mathematics, Science or Business related subjects, with an aptitude for computing. We are also looking for candidates who have an understanding of technology and how it supports business, but most of all, who are really serious about becoming a professional programmer, and ideally has experience of writing code:
-To assist with customer support, create programmes using VB.Net, ASP.Net, SQL.
- 7 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C or above including Maths and English
- Strong educational background in Maths, Computing, ICT, Sciences
- A real interest and enthusiasm for working with the latest technology
- Computing skills i.e. familiarity of Windows, MS Office, email etc
- Some experience in computer programming is highly desirable
- Self-motivated and driven to succeed
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Have a very inquisitive and analytical way of thinking
- Problem solving abilities essential
