Nature of role: A Twelve-month apprenticeship telesales role responsible for lead generation to the GEM sales team, with a development plan leading qualifying individuals to an Internal Sales Executive role. A purely telephone based sales/lead generation role demanding high levels of activity, training and commitment to ensure satisfactory performance against defined KPIs

To contact end users and vendors within a defined universe to generate quality leads and appointments for internal and external sales executives.
Develop product knowledge, sales skills and a work ethic that will demonstrate the minimum required aptitude to progress to a sales exec level after the apprenticeship finishes.
Staying at the forefront of market developments to contribute towards the ongoing development the clients USP and routes to market
All clients coded as prospect within the GEM market and any other clients as required from time to time at the request of line manager
All vendors coded as prospect within the GEM market and any other clients as required from time to time at the request of line manager.
Office based, minimum contracted hours are 8:30 – 5:30 with the possibility of training and team meeting requirements outside of these hours. Where any additional expense is incurred performing duties outside of office hours or offsite, the Client will rebate in full.
Activity targets will be agreed on a periodic and quarterly basis as progress is made through the apprenticeship. For guidance, an apprentice telesales exec is expected in a full day’s telephone activity to make a minimum of 120 calls a day, subject to final agreement and the requested daily tasks.
