: The Advanced Apprenticeship (Level 3) provides the training you will need to gain a minimum Level 3 Engineering Qualification and enable you to progress to Higher Education depending on company needs. Whichever option is for you, training takes place at College during the first year (this may involve block or day release courses plus training in industry), followed in the second subsequent year by a College based day release. Further training will follow which is done in the workplace and the last qualification (NVQ Level 3) is completed in the workplace by assessment using experienced College based assessment staff. Each Apprentice is assessed in five different ways to ensure that they build a rounded set of skills: On your Knowledge, undertaking a technical qualification and/or other trainingOn your 'Key and Functional Skills' which can include Communications, Application of Number, Information and Communications Technology.On your knowledge of employment rights and responsibilities and relevant health and safety requirements.On your Personal Learning and Thinking Skills which provide a framework for describing the qualities and skills needed for success in learning and in life.On your practical competence, undertaking a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ).Method of Attendance
