Students considering a career in Adult Social CareRequired Grades:
4 GCSE's at grade D or acceptable alternatives including English language and maths. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO APPLY DIRECTLY TO THIS COURSE, A PRE-APPRENTICESHIP IN PREPARING TO WORK IN ADULT HEALTH & SOCIAL CARE (Pre-apprenticeship) LEVEL 2 COURSE, NEEDS TO BE TAKEN AND PASSED FIRST.What qualification will I receive?
Diploma in Health and Social Care (Adults) for England (QCF and Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult social Care (QCF)What can it lead to?
Studying with social services may include:* elderly care* mental health* learning disabilities* children and families* community and outreach* residential social work* homecareWhat will I study?
Health and Social Care Apprenticeships are all employed status with either The Sheffield Hospital Trust or within Social Services. Apprentices will study the same course content at College, but work placements will differ between a hospital environment and care facility.How will I be taught?
Apprentices generally spend four days a week with an employer and study one day a week at College. Training in this way provides students with job matched qualifications and a direct link into employment.How will I be assessed?
These will take place in college and the workplace to industry standard.How do I enrol?
