What's it all about?

Do you wonder what makes people want to work? Are you particularly clever at recognising patterns in information? Are you a good organiser? On our foundation degree we will help you focus and expand these aptitudes in your study of people and their work - and determine what it takes to meet the needs of those people at work.

Course Progression:

On successful completion you may be eligible to progress to: the final year of the BA (Hons) Business Administration degree at Plymouth University if your first language is not English you could apply for the BA (Hons) in Business Administration with Business English further professional study to achieve membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development a career in human resource management in the private or public sector.

Assessment is via a range of methods including written assignments, case studies, presentations, role play and end of module tests.

What does this course involve?

There is an opportunity to study the following modules on the course: Stage 1 Developing HR practitioner skills business economics business finance organisational behaviour marketing employment relations and the law Stage 2 Managing HR issues managing knowledge and information managing people enterprise and innovation management accounts industrial relations and the law resourcing and talent management.
