What's it all about?

With your flair for organising events, meeting people and logistics management, you can use our course as a stepping stone to a more senior level or to further study. We will expand and improve your planning, managing and organising skills, encourage you to be innovative and creative, show you how to carefully gauge client requirements, get an in-depth understanding into the industry, and to cultivate good contacts. You will emerge poised and assured, and ready to put theory into practice.

Course Progression:

This qualification gives you the opportunity to progress to: the Hospitality and Tourism Management Foundation Degree at the College, with one year's further study a career within the hospitality industry.

Are there any exams?

Assessment includes practical demonstrations, report writing and presentations. There are also opportunities for you to gain invaluable experience by visiting and spending time with local hospitality providers.

What does this course involve?

The HNC in Hospitality Management is a two-year, part-time course. Each year of the course you will complete four 20 credit modules. These are: Year 1 Restaurant operations Accommodation and front office Marketing International tourism Year 2 Costing, finance and business performance Managing people Licensed trade management Leadership and team development skills

Course Requirements:
