This is a ‘Work-Based Learning’ apprenticeship with a Software company in your area. We are looking for exceptional applicants with a strong educational background in either Mathematics, Science or Business related subjects, with an aptitude for computing. We are also looking for candidates who have an understanding of technology and how it supports business, but most of all, who are really enthusiastic about becoming a professional Software Developer.

Our software is developed using C# and Visual Studio 2010. Tasks will be assigned depending on the capability of the individual, and are likely to be of increasing complexity as the training progresses.

There will also be an opportunity to experience a number of other development related activities, with the support and mentoring of members of our development team. These might include:

  • First line telephone support to clients
  • IT systems support
  • Updates to the company website

Important Personal Qualities of Candidates:

  • Attention to accuracy and details of work
  • A love of IT, and a genuine interest in making a career in software development
  • Good communications skills
  • Educated to A level standard

Future Progression:

Dependent on the aptitude of the individual, there may be opportunities within the company for a permanent role as a .net developer, and this would be the ideal outcome from our perspective as an employer. There may be alternative roles in QA, or IT systems.
