Description of the Course
This course provides the training and underpinning knowledge for the Advanced Apprenticeship in Installing Commissioning Electrotechnical Systems. The qualification is also a requirement of the Joint Industry Board for those wishing to be graded as a technician or an electrician.
Course content
The Framework requirements are:
Guilds NVQ Level 3 Installing Commissioning Electrotechnical Systems
Ensure safe electrical site working
Prepare to install electrical wiring systems, wiring enclosures and equipment
Install electric wiring systems, wiring enclosures and equipment
Connect wiring systems and equipment using safe and approved methods
Inspect, test and commission an electrical installation
Diagnose and correct electrical faults
Provide technical and functional information to relevant people
Maintain a healthy and safe working environment
Who is the course for?
Those learners who have achieved their Level 2 Apprenticeship would be able to do a reduced format of this programme
Those already working in the industry wishing to gain this qualification to achieve JIB grading.
