This is a vocational course for students with a keen interest in business and how it operates. This course can lead to further study or employment.
Entry requirements
- Four GCSEs at grade D or above, including English and mathematics or equivalent
or
- Successful completion of a Foundation Learning course, in a related subject, including English and mathematics
- A good school report showing good attendance and behaviour.
Course content
Students must study a number of business units including:
Core units:
- Business purposes
- Financial forecasting
- Customer relations
- Starting a small business.
WorkSkills units include:
- Working with others
- Supporting meetings
- Career progression.
Students will also study Level 2 Functional Skills in:
- English
- Mathematics
- ICT.
