This course is for experienced hairdressers who wish to enhance their career.
Entry requirements
- Students must already be working part-time as a hairdresser and have NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Hairdressing
- Previous skills and knowledge will be taken into account
- A statement of employment within industry, for the duration of the course, may be required
- All applicants undergo an entrance assessment based on Level 2 theory and practical.
Course content
Students will study the following course areas:
- Monitor procedures to safely control work operations
- Promote additional products or services to clients
- Provide hairdressing consultation services
- Create a variety of looks using a combination of cutting techniques
- Style and dress hair to achieve a variety of creative looks
- Creatively style and dress long hair
- Develop and enhance your creative hairdressing skills
- Provide colour correction services
- Colour hair using a variety of techniques
- Perm hair using a variety of techniques
- Contribute to the planning and implementation of promotional activities
- Provide creative hair extensions.
