Course content:
The plumbing apprenticeship programme is a work based learning programme aimed at people from the age of 16. As an apprentice you can earn while you learn plumbing.

Apprentices are employed as plumbers and will receive training in all aspects of the trade as outlined in the framework listed. At the end of the apprenticeship you will gain a Plumbing NVQ level 2 qualification.

The training for a plumbing and keyskills qualification takes place in college as well with the employer. You will attend college one day week over a 2 year period.

Course Structure:
Plumbing apprenticeship framework requirements? Candidates are required to take five mandatory units to achieve the full award. The units are:

Unit 1 Maintain the safe working environment for HVACR activities
Unit 2 Maintain effective working relationships
Unit 3 Contribute to the improvement of business products and services for HVACR work activities
Unit 4 Install heating and ventilating systems and components
Unit 5 Pre-commission and decommission heating and ventilating systems

Plus the following Keyskills: At level 2 in Numeracy and Communication and IT at level 1 Technical certificate Employers Rights and Responsibility Certificate Health and Safety Test Appointed Person First Aid Fire Fighting Certificate.

All students have access to our fully equipped, state-of-the-art Learning Centre. This includes free Internet access.
