Business Specialist Programmes

861304-LBG-190x114 If you are leaving school or college and looking to get stuck into a career while gaining valuable qualifications then joining one of our Business Specialist Programmes could be just what you are looking for. These programmes are designed to equip you with valuable skills and experience whilst the training you'll receive will set you up with a great career and financial qualifications. There are three streams from which you can choose - corporate, commercial or retail. Whichever you follow you'll get comprehensive on-the-job support.

Corporate

Salary: £19,000 + up to £3,450 (London allowance) + flexible benefits Learn how to help businesses grow by playing a major role in helping them bring their ideas to life. Find out about short and long term lending, deposits, cash and trade facilitation. Working with household names and meeting major business leaders across a variety of market areas, you'll have everything you need to follow a career in this exciting and rewarding banking sector. This programme involves a two year structured training programme in the key areas of Relationship Management, Credit Sanctioning and Business Support.

Commercial

Starting salary: £19,000 + £3,450 (London allowance) + flexible benefits If you are passionate about working with people this is where you need to be. There are several paths to take within the Commercial Division Relationship Management, Commercial Finance and Agriculture. Each offers a two year programme designed to build relationships with customers, ensuring they get focused business solutions to meet their ever-changing needs.

Retail

Starting salary: £19,500 + £3,450 (London allowance) + flexible benefits From your first placement in a branch where you will learn the basics in helping our customers with their day to day banking transactions, to the more complex business of conducting financial reviews, throughout this programme you will provide the best service to our customers. You will also learn how to effectively manage your colleagues and ultimately lead and manage your own team, motivating them to perform as well as you. You'll have continuous support and assessment throughout the programmes but it's your motivation, determination and excellent interpersonal skills that will allow you to gain a set of qualifications while under full employment. Any of these programmes will be the perfect way to leave school and start a journey towards a successful and fulfilling career.

You will need a minimum of 260 UCAS points to be eligible (obtained or predicted). All programmes start September 2010, apart from the Commercial programmes which start

between July and September.
