You will work on all aspect within the company, with the full support of our experienced staff. Your duties will be varied and exciting as you would expect within a small company. We are looking for candidates with a strong desire to work within accounting and finance and who would like to benefit from gaining industry recognised qualifications and the practical real life experience of working within the industry. Candidates need to be committed and focused upon achieving AAT levels 2, 3 and 4.

Successful candidates will spend 2 days a week with Orphanou working in an accounting office practicing their training and carrying out the needs of the business and 3 days with the Accounting Academy Partnership studying towards AAT levels 2, 3 and 4.

Qualifications Required
A minimum of 5 GCSE at Grade A* - C or equivalent including English and Maths.
 
Additional Information
The training programme lasts for 14 months and covers 1000 hours of teaching. You achieve the highly respected Association of Accounting Technician (AAT) qualification at levels 2 (about GCSE), level 3 (about A2 level) and level 4 (about first year of a Degree Course). The programme is 3 days in the Academy and 2 days in employment each week, for 60 weeks (14 months).

You will be learning about all aspects of Accounting and learning new skills related to how businesses work. While you are with AAP there will be a good mixture of hands-on practical work and written work. Training will take place in one of AAP’s high-spec training rooms with access to excellent equipment. Training will be made as interactive as possible, with access to e-learning
provided for each Apprentice. You will be expected to complete practical ssessments and written assignments, as well as examinations (there are 17 of them!).

Full time permanent employment cannot be guaranteed upon completion of the apprenticeship programme
