Consists of the NVQ in Food Manufacture - Butchery or Meat and Poultry Processing and the Technical Certificate. It includes the Award in Health and Safety, Level 2 Award in Food Safety, Emergency First Aid and Functional Skills in numeracy and literacy.
 
What will I be learning about?
 
The Apprenticeship in Butchery or Meat and Poultry Processing consists of the NVQ in Butchery or Meat and Poultry Processing and the Technical Certificate. It will also include the Award in Health and Safety, Level 2 Award in Food Safety, Emergency First Aid and Key Skills.
The Technical Certificate will be taught one day per week over one term. There will be additional off the job training in knife skills and butchery as required.
