As a Class 2 Driver, you will be tasked with driving a variety of vehicles up to 18 tons throughout the Midlands area to collect refuse containers from catering establishments. 

Committed to sustainability, we are on a mission to reduce waste within the foodservice industry. We are now looking for a Class 2 Driver to join our team.

As a Class 2 Driver, you will be tasked with driving a variety of vehicles up to 18 tons throughout Thetford and the surrounding area to collect refuse containers from catering establishments. 

Loading full bins and unloading empties, you will liaise with employees of the catering establishments regarding their waste management needs and ensure you provide a friendly and approachable service. You will utilise a handheld computer to record your deliveries and enable accurate billing. 

Returning your loaded containers to an anaerobic digestion plant, you will work alongside an Operative to unload and clean your vehicle and then reload with empty containers. 

Your other duties will include: 

  •  Identifying new product and customer opportunities 
  •  Completing daily vehicle checks ensuring that your vehicle is kept presentable and roadworthy, reporting any defects 
  •  Driving all vehicles in a safe manner 
  •  Informing the Transport Manager of any driving offences 


To be considered for this role, you must have: 

  •  Previous multi-drop experience, which has included face-to-face interaction with customers 
  •  The ability to drive a Class 2 vehicle, without any DR10 or IN10 licence offence codes and with no more than 6 points on your licence
  •  A digital tacho card 
  •  Completed at least 28 hours of CPC training 


Please note, this role involves moving and carrying weights in excess of 20kgs. Due to the physical nature of this role, we will provide manual handling training and offers medical screening to the successful candidate. 

Working hours: 48 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
