Great opportunity for someone to start of an apprenticeships in the Accounts Team of A large international company.

Role

The position is an integral member within the finance team working closely with the Accounts Clerk to support the finance team in all financial and related activities for BrandAlley in the UK. The role is initially responsible for financial processing and supporting the AC with reconciliation of supplier invoices.

The position-holder is required to follow department systems and procedures whilst using initiative to resolve issues.

The role and responsibilities will have the potential to develop as the individual’s knowledge and experience grows.

Responsibilities

• Ledger Management

• Follow team processes and procedures to ensure smooth operations

• Ensure record-keeping is accurate and up-to-date

• Input new invoices and credit notes accurately in the general ledger

• Reconcile supplier invoices received and follow up discrepancies

• Track invoice discrepancies to ensure timely resolution

• Work with the merchandising/logistics department to resolve all supplier invoice issues before approving invoices for payment

• Regular Supplier Account Reconciliations to supplier statements

• Enterprise

• Ability to investigate queries

• Communicating appropriate issues to senior members of the team

• Reliable, structured and professional approach with supplier dealings

• Office Support

• Holidays updating and tracked on SAP.

• Expenses checking (for Heads of Department) and passed to the relevant managers to sign off.

Key Attributes

• Reliable, good time management and punctuality

• Methodical approach to processes and accurate record-keeping

• Attention to detail

• Numerate – GCSE grade A-B in Mathematics

• Good level of verbal and written English

• Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel advantageous

• Maintain a responsive and supportive stance to company training initiatives

• Proactive approach to problem identification & efficient resolution

• Enjoys working in a friendly and fast-paced environment

Salary - £100-£150 per week
