Course Summary: What is the aim of the programme? Our aim is to provide students with theoretical and technical knowledge, combined with practical skills in the workplace,to ensure that they are able to work at Foundation Degree level. All modules are delivered using staff with substantial industrial experience. What is a Foundation Degree in Engineering? This Foundation Degree has been designed by Warwickshire College and Coventry University to meet the needs of students who wish to study Engineering at Higher Education Level but who do not necessarily have the appropriate qualifications to enter a full Honours Degree programme. Foundation Degrees are delivered with mechanical and electrical/electronic specialisms. These courses consist of 16 modules. Following two years of study on a day release basis, successful students will gain a Foundation Degree (FdEng) awarded by Coventry University. During the two-year programme you will need to be employed in an approriate area of engineering and be able to apply your work experience to this course.
