It’s an award-winning programme that we’ve specifically designed to provide everything you need to build a successful career at Jaguar Land Rover. Working alongside industry leaders on two of the world’s greatest brands, this is the platform to launch an incredible career.

What you’ll do

The scheme lasts up to six years, over which time you’ll complete a part-time degree. Depending on the needs of our business, you’ll follow a particular pathway in Production Supervision, Finance or Purchasing, and you’ll start by spending time at college learning the engineering basics for your pathway and safe working practices. With that knowledge under your belt, you’ll start honing your vocational skills. Based at one of our sites, you’ll quickly develop your technical knowledge, as well as business acumen and people skills. All the while you’ll keep up your academic studies to earn your qualifications.

What you’ll gain

During the scheme you’ll earn:

  •  NVQ2 in Performing Engineering Operations
  • NVQ3 in Business Improvement Techniques
  • NVQ4 specific in Engineering leadership, as well as a fully sponsored engineering degree

Of course, much of your learning will come on-the-job, and you’ll be fully supported with our world-class training and support including structured development reviews. You’ll also receive a starting salary of £16,000 which will double over the six years you’ll be on the Apprenticeship Scheme.

What you’ll need

You’ll need to have at least five GCSEs or equivalent at grade C or above (including Maths, English and a core Science subject). You’ll also need to have, or expect to gain within this academic year, at least one A-Level in a mathematical subject at grade C or above, and an A-Level in a science, technology or engineering related subject at grade C or above. We may also consider a relevant Level 4, 5 or 6 equivalent engineering qualification, depending on the content that you’ve studied.
