What Will I do? You will work with a group of students to set up a Young Enterprise company. You will develop a product or service, market it and sell it. You will sell shares to raise money for production costs and to make a profit. You will take part in local trade fairs, presentations etc. and take a leading role in running the company.

What qualifications will I get? OCR Award or Certificate for Young Enterprise (pass, merit or distinction)

How will I be assessed? Assessment is by a combination of examinations and OCR-set assignments. Much of the knowledge needed comes from running your own Young Enterprise company.

What else do I need to know? The Young Enterprise programme at the college is highly successful and regularly competes with schools and colleges in the Coventry and Warwickshire area, winning many prizes each year. The Level 3 qualification benefits from inclusion in the UCAS Tariff as follows: Pass - 20 points, Merit = 30 points, Distinction = 40 points

What can I do after this course? For those candidates who wish to further develop their knowledge and understanding of the business environment these qualifications will provide a basis for BTECs in Business at Levels 1, 2 or 3

Entry Level (Award): (8 credits) Unit 1 - Identifying company aims and responsibilities Unit 2 - Carrying out tasks in an enterprise company Unit 3 - Working in a team Unit 4 - Reviewing the success of an enterprise company Level 1 (Certificate): (12 credits) Unit 1 - Reviewing the performance of a Young Enterprise company Level 2 (Certificate) (13 credits) Unit 1 - Assessing the performance of a Young Enterprise company Level 3 (Certificate) (13 credits) Unit 1 - Reviewing the performance of a Young Enterprise company
