Kensington and Chelsea College

Kensington and Chelsea College: At Kensington and Chelsea College we are committed to helping students achieve their ambitious personal and learning goals. Our good standards of teaching, and new and modernised campus facilities, mean that our students are provided with the best environment in order to succeed. That could mean developing skills for work, preparing for further study or university, or simply exploring a new subject in a fun and sociable atmosphere.

What’s on Offer: Whether you’re interested in learning for fun or want to take the first steps to a new career, we have over 900 courses to choose from ranging from Creative Arts, Media and Child Care to Health, Hair and Beauty, and Languages.

But it doesn’t stop there. We understand the importance of being flexible in today’s fast-paced world which is why we have different styles of learning to suit your needs. Whether it’s Vocational Courses, Work Based Learning, Apprenticeships or community based Adult Learning – you’ll always find your perfect course with us.

What makes us unique: We specialise in vocational courses taught by talented tutors. Many of our tutors are either specialists in their field or still work in the industry, meaning students gain the most up-to-date training for their career. And because many of our tutors are still connected to the industry they are teaching about, Kensington and Chelsea College is in the privileged position of being able to offer many students unique learning experiences. These have included opportunities to perform in famous venues such as Sadler’s Wells and The Royal Albert Hall, creating fashion lines for Department Stores such as Fenwick and Peter Jones and gaining work placements in high-profile organisations. With so many rewarding experiences to complement the teaching it’s easy to see why so many of our students choose to continue progressing their studies with us.

Facilities: Our new multi-million pound Hortensia Centre has cutting edge technology, spacious fashion studios, and professional Mac Design Suites. Being a part of Kensington and Chelsea College means gaining access to some fantastic resources including a great support network, learner mentors and plenty of areas for you to relax in when you need some time to unwind!

Support: All our campuses are equipped with a strong network of support services for students, assistance in finding and preparing for jobs once you’ve completed your course. The College’s Study Support Services already has an excellent reputation locally for providing a wide range of support for people with disabilities to ensure they can complete their course successfully.

Subject Strengths: Kensington and Chelsea College has over 900 courses and we are specialists in Vocational subjects. We have our own fully functioning commercial salon which is open to the public and acts as the training ground for our hairdressing and beauty therapy students. Our award winning Millinery Department is also internationally recognised as being one of the best, and many of our Millinery students have gone on to work with some of the biggest names in the industry, as well design hats for Department stores Fenwick and Peter Jones. We also have close links and partnerships with many well known organisations, including Chelsea Football Club, The V&A, Deep Recording Studios and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. This has paved the way for unique learning experiences and enhanced employment opportunities for our students.
