Every year many students exceed in their exam results by achieving A’s and A*’s. This is exactly what Rob did, but like many others felt that academic study was not for him. He tells NotGoingToUni about his story and how he ended up overlooking multi-million pound construction projects.
Anne Lacey is a 16 year old Trainee Quantity Surveyor working at London’s Cyril Sweett Firm. She choose the route of training on the job instead of going to university. Here she explains about her qualifications, choosing the non-uni route and what skills she is picking up along the way.
I would say this is one of best apprenticeship programme on offer to young people. Surveying is such as diverse profession and one which allows you to specialise in an array of areas. Because it’s a professional training it provides the opportunity for strong earning power and the flexibility to work in different locations. I really feel like I am investing in a career with an exciting future.
