The health, public services and care sector is vast and has an amazing number of diverse apprenticeships on offer to young people.
The major employers in health, public service and care are the NHS, the Armed Forces, the emergency services (the fire and ambulance services and the police force are the most well-known) and the Public Services, which can include local government. Many of the jobs in this sector are taken up by people who see their work as a vocation – to help others as well as playing an important part in their own communities.
