Best ways to search for a job

Here are a few tips to assist you with your job search and help you and find that dream job!

  • Check your network - many people get jobs through friends and friends of friends. Who do YOU know?

  • Set up job alerts - trawling through websites can be exhausting. Get the websites to send you jobs when one you're interested in is advertised

  • Ask for help - there are many providers (CG) out there who are happy to help you look for work and provide a focussed environment where you can search and apply online

  • Explore the websites of places you'd love to work. If they're not advertising why not send them a CV and covering letter anyway - you've nothing to lose!

  • Keep a record - don't lose track of what you've applied for. You don't want to sound clueless if an employer calls and you've forgotten who they are!
