On Friday 29th November, Newham College hosted an event which provided invaluable help for applicants to some of the most exciting engineering apprenticeship opportunities in east London.

To boost the applicants' chances of being employed, the Newham College apprenticeships team held an engineering recruitment day, where they developed applicants’ interview and employability skills, conducted initial interviews and signposted them to other vacancies. Successful candidates went on to secure full interviews.

"At Newham College we work hard to ensure that candidates are placed with an employer, and in a role, that is suited to them. The best way to do this is by working closely with our employer networks to fully understand their requirements. We are currently engaged with some of the largest engineering companies in east London and the UK, which is going to result in at least 12 people starting jobs in an industry that will ensure a rewarding career and skills that will last a lifetime." - Neil Coates Director of Apprenticeships and Business Development

The College's experienced apprenticeships team have placed thousands of young people in to apprenticeship placements over the last five years. There's no better team in London to get you started in a career that suits you and your wallet.

If you're nervous about additional training needs or concerned you don't have the grades - don't worry! Come in and have a chat with one of the team. They'll talk you through the many options available to you.

If you have any further questions about the event, or an apprenticeship itself, don't hesitate to contact the apprenticeships team on 020 8522 5759 or email apprenticeship@newham.ac.uk
