Hampshire’s hospitality and catering apprentices are ‘top of the class’!

The event was held at the Spire Portsmouth Hospital - a leading provider of private healthcare in the county - and celebrated the success of members of staff who successfully completed their work based learning at the hospital.

The local learners – whose apprenticeships included Food Production and Cooking, Kitchen Service, Customer Service and Hospitality, Supervision and Leadership – were joined by Spire Hospital Operations Manager Andrew Gilogley, Spire Hospital Support Services Manager Melanie Mason and Hampshire HIT Trainer-assessors Paula Burston and Phillip Swaffer.

All of the apprentices who received certificates worked hard to gain their qualifications and we’re pleased to have been able to help them celebrate their achievements,” said Paula Burston, Hampshire HIT Trainer-assessor. “Each one of these apprentices now has the skills and qualifications to help them progress in their chosen careers in the hospitality and catering sector – a huge well done from all at HIT!

We’re delighted that our staff have worked hard to gain these valuable qualifications. It’s fantastic to see first-hand the positive impact that these apprenticeships are having on them, the hospital and the wider economy,” said Spire Hospital Operations Manager Andrew Gilogley.

HIT Training is the UK’s leading provider of apprenticeships for the hospitality sector. Regionally based and locally focused, HIT offers hotel and catering apprenticeships at all levels and in all sectors; it has supported 40,000 learners at over 7,000 employer sites across the country.
