Interested in a career in interior design?Posted: 3rd of October 2013 by Tamara Hassan
September has come and gone and countless students have made the move to University. Alternatively, with increased fees and the pressure of a recession constantly looming, many people have opted to head into the workplace rather than continue their studies.
However, if the opportunity to study at a university level still seems an attractive proposition but a secure full or part-time job remains an essential factor, then the online courses run by the National Design Academy (NDA) may be the perfect option. NDA offer a variety of degree programmes in Interior Design with all courses being validated by Staffordshire University.
Consequently, many students are opting to have their cake and eat it by signing up for a part-time online distance learning course with the National Design Academy, the key attraction being that it offers the opportunity to gain a certified degree course whilst still having the freedom to work full or part time.
The Interior Design degree courses offered by the National Design Academy provide each student with a named tutor who can be contacted by phone or email Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm, helping to support them throughout the course. It is also possible to pre-arrange a face to face meeting with a tutor if desired.
All course materials are available via a web-based Virtual Learning Studio (VLS) which provides each student with access to all existing resources as well as a means to contact the network of tutors. This system is extremely easy to use and very intuitive; making retrieving all required documents a simple and efficient activity.
The National Design Academy is often praised for its flexibility and economic benefits. Each of the degree courses offered by NDA can be started at any time as well as being eligible for support through the student loans system. The partnership with Staffordshire University also means that all NDA students receive the same benefits as full time students, such as an NUS student card, access to university libraries across the UK as well as careers, finance and counselling support.
