International Women’s Day

Posted: 7th of March 2018 by Sophia Silver

Women make up 23% of the core STEM occupations in the UK and 24% of those working in core STEM industries. We have 61,430 more women working in core STEM in 2017, but there is still a lot of work to be done to carry on growing this number.

We are hosting our first ‘Girls – Count Us In’ event in a series of events to promote diversity in the profession, appealing to girls who are interested in pursuing a career in STEM and therefore potentially a career as an actuary.

The event is taking place on 10 October 2018 between 17.00 – 19.30 at Staple Inn, London, and will include presentations from actuarial employers on their take on girls in STEM and will give an opportunity to network with a range of people and students.

If you are interested in attending, please sign up here or contact us if you have any questions.
