‘It’s All About You’ – NGTU takes a look at ‘My Business Choice’Posted: 28th of October 2014 by
We took some time to connect with Sean Cadle – the man behind ‘My Business Choice’ to find out what it’s all about and how it may help you – whether you are a business on the rise, or just a consumer.
NotGoingToUni: Sean, welcome to NotGoingToUni. Let’s get straight to it, you have started a new company that may be of interest to businesses and consumers – can you let us know what it is called, and basically how it works?
Thank you! It is called mybusinesschoice, which would straight away tell you that it will be an online service.
It will be a crowdfunding service, to help those who are looking to start a new business with marketing, funding and promoting. With the other part of the website dedicated to rewarding the consumer with discount on products and services they use and love.
NotGoingToUni: What do consumers have to gain from using the service, there has to be some sort of motivation, right?
Of course! They get the opportunity to voice their opinions on products and services they use, so the new businesses that provide them can adapt and improve them. They will also be able to choose new businesses to ‘like’ and contribute as little as £1 to and be rewarded with discount. They can club up with their mates to contribute more money and get even bigger rewards.
NotGoingToUni: How about businesses? What does the service offer to them?
For future businesses it’s a very unique service. They would be provided with the tools to market their business idea for free, build the funding required for the business to launch, and have advertising opportunities.
To top it all off, they would be building a customer base and be debt free. The whole service at first will be free, but payment options will be available to make the £240 package price easier to pay.
NotGoingToUni: It sounds like a great idea for everyone involved, but what gave you the idea to set up the service?
The amount of business ideas I had that I couldn’t pursue, because I was put off by one factor or another. I hated the idea of thousands of people in my situation, who are put off by loans and the interest that comes on top of that.
I wanted to create a service that gave new businesses a chance to be successful, improving the economy and employment for young people, as well as rewarding consumers and saving them money on what they actually like!
NotGoingToUni: It must have taken some entrepreneurial spirit to get it up and running, what would you say to young people who might want to start their own business, like you have?
Check out my service when it’s live and running!
Seriously though, prepare! Be very prepared. Write everything down that you need to do in order to start it and stick with the basic business principles. Networking is pretty important, and can open many doors and opportunities. Be passionate.
NotGoingToUni: Do you have any plans for the future that you can tell us about (without giving away any secrets, of course!)?
I have plans for the service in the future, but I do want to keep the service as straight-forward as possible, no over complicating it.
NotGoingToUni: Thanks for your time, but before we go, is there anything else you would like to add?
No problem. There is something! If you have 2 minutes to spare, please can you take part in one or both surveys I have created. Thank you!
Here is the business survey, for current/new/future businesses
And for consumers
