My ENSPIRE experience with Tesco

Joining a School Leaver programme like ENSPIRE opens so many doors and gives you valuable experience you might not get from university. The ENSPIRE programme was perfect for me because I like working and enjoy a fast pace working environment, but I did not want to leave school without a form of higher education. With the ENSPIRE programme you get a Level 4 Buying and Merchandising diploma from the Fashion Retail Academy in London, as well as the experience in both buying and merchandising before deciding on your chosen path.
Being part of this programme allows you the meet and have exposure to some of the top people in F & F. Since starting 4 months ago I have had regular meetings and 1 2 1’s with Head Of’s and members of the Leadership Team. This is amazing because not only does it give you exposure across the whole business, it’s so interesting learning about these leaders and their career paths. My favourite part of being on this programme has been meeting these leaders and getting to know them.
Although the scheme is hard work, it is very fulfilling and the amount you learn and can take from it is like nothing else. Since being on the ENSPIRE programme I have developed my maths and presentation skills, which I would have seen these as my weaknesses. Now I am confident in both. The ENSPIRE programme gives you the opportunity to constantly develop yourself and live up to your potential.
