School Leaver opportunities with a global employer!

Founded in 1976, CGI is one of the largest IT and business process providers in the world. We are the Data Services Provider for the roll-out of 53 million smart gas and electricity meters in the UK, we have supported over 200 satellite missions into Space and have been helping to keep the UK Government secure for over 40 years.

CGI offers school leavers a world of opportunity. Due to the nature of our business, you work on ‘projects’. This means you’re never doing the same thing and you can have different roles across various projects, so there is no ‘typical day’. It also may mean you are working on client site, in another CGI office or sometimes from home. It really does vary at CGI. And that’s the exciting thing, it really is up to you to shape and develop your career in the direction you want to go with the support of others.

About the CGI Programmes

  • CGI’s Level 4 Higher Apprenticeships are great for School Leavers that have a career path in mind and want to learn whilst earning at the same time. We have various apprenticeship programmes, such as software development, project management and cyber security, training you in key areas of our business.
  • Our Service Desk Apprenticeship Programme is based in South Wales. CGI has an award winning, world class, 5* Service Desk based in Bridgend and we are looking for our future leaders in technical and leadership roles. Over the 15 month programme you will train towards a full Microsoft certified IT Systems Networking level 3 Apprenticeship onsite with QA. We offer a range of roles across many different sectors including; Service Delivery, Project Management, Technical and Project Services.
  • CGI’s Grad/Degree Apprenticeship Programmes combine academic study with on-the-job training. CGI offer Degree Apprenticeships with Aston University, Edinburgh Napier University, Glasgow Caledonian University and Winchester University. By the end of the course, you will have achieved a full degree, debt free, whilst starting your professional career and earning a competitive starting salary of £14,625. Applications are independent to UCAS so you can still apply to UCAS as well as this programme.
