Posted: 11th of July 2014 by Naomi Bourne

If you're passionate about Technology and looking for an alternative to the traditional university route, you're in the right place. Our Technology Apprenticeship Programme gives you the chance to earn good money as well as challenging yourself every day, building your knowledge and experience. We will support you throughout your programme, helping you to grow, develop and learn all the things you will need to become an invaluable part of the team and move up through our business.

Successful apprentices will support and build the IT systems and technologies that underpin every aspect of the business. You will work on projects that are part of every customer’s shopping trip. You can also expect to support innovative systems that lead the way in retail technology. But this isn't just about learning on the job. Over the two years, you'll also be sponsored to achieve a Level 4 Higher Apprenticeship in Technology with Hertford Regional College.

The two year programme will build upon skills gained at school, college and in extra-curricular activities to grow our own technical experts of the future as we move into the next chapter of Tesco’s history – being the UK’s multi-channel leader.

To succeed on the Technology Apprenticeship Programme, you'll need to be mature, capable and professionally minded –ready to aim high and embrace all the responsibility you're given. You will also need 240 UCAS points in one or more of the following areas, ICT, IT Technical, Science or Maths, a minimum of 8 GSCEs, and Maths and English Grade C, or above.
