We’re building a global community. Be part of it.Posted: 17th of October 2013 by Naomi Bourne
Do you want to...
Raleigh International is a sustainable development charity. We challenge and inspire young volunteers from around the world to work with communities living in poverty. We are currently looking for young people just like you, who are available in spring or summer 2014 to take part in our international expedition to Tanzania.
Tanzania is one of the poorest countries in the world, with many of its people living below the World Bank poverty line. On the upcoming expeditions, you could be working with communities to provide access to safe water or sanitation facilities, help us preserve Tanzania’s unique environments or take part in a challenging and remote trek in the country’s stunning Southern Highlands. We will challenge and support you to develop skills that employers will find valuable. You are encouraged to become a leader, creating change in communities across the world.

“To turn on the taps at the end and see the community’s faces was very rewarding. Watching my host ‘Mum’ struggle in her daily life, carrying a 25 litre water can to-and-fro from the river numerous times a day and then at the end of the project watching her turn on the tap which is 4m away from her front door was incredible.”
