Why did you choose an apprenticeship?
After 2 years at college and still unsure on what direction I wanted to take, an apprenticeship came up at my workplace and I thought it would be a good opportunity for me to progress.
What’s your favorite part of your apprenticeship?
I get the chance to meet different people doing apprenticeships and learn how they can all be different but still achieve people’s individual goals.
What are your goals for the future?
My goals are to advance as much as possible in the industry even helping the new people taking an apprenticeship as I see it is the best way to learn in the workplace.
If someone wasn’t sure about an apprenticeship, what would you say to them?
I’d tell them about my story and others that I know. I would show them all the great things my apprenticeship has brought me and explain it could be the same for them too.
Would you recommend an apprenticeship? Why?
I would definitely recommend an apprenticeship as it’s an opportunity to learn at work (gaining qualifications) without going to university and generating a lot of debt.
If you had to describe your apprenticeship in 5 words – what would you say?
One of my best decisions.
Why do you enjoy working in the printing industry?
No day is the same working in print, with all the new technologies coming through there are always new things to learn and even opportunities to improve current methods for more efficiency.
