Katie – Corporate Responsibility Apprentice

Why did you choose to do an apprenticeship?

I've always enjoyed being academically challenged, and what better way to do so than with an apprenticeship. The responsibilities and opportunities that I have been given on the international CSR team have helped me to grow both professionally, and personally. Working and studying at the same time gives you valuable work experience, all whilst working towards a qualification. Through this, I been given a true insight into the working world and have been able to apply my studies to real life situations.

What do you enjoy most about your apprenticeship?

Working for WarnerMedia offers a multitude of networking opportunities. I've really loved studying alongside industry professionals since it's allowed me to broaden my understanding of all of the different sectors and divisions that make up this company. I am confident that the skills and knowledge I have gained will support me later on in my career.

As a WarnerMedia apprentice, you also get to attend internal events and see WarnerMedia films before they're released in theatres!

What has been your highlight so far?

Attending the Harley Quinn Roller Disco event to celebrate the release of Birds of Prey has been my highlight so far. With roller skating, networking, and free food and beverages, this was a great employee event! This was just one of numerous internal events, which makes WarnerMedia a really cool company to work for.

Apprenticeships are a great way to kickstart your career. If you're interested in applying for an apprenticeship, my best advice is to never give up if you're sure this is the path you want to take. You gain valuable industry experience whilst getting paid and gaining a qualification!
