Billy, 21 – Horticulture Apprenticeship at Bransford WebbPosted: 17th of January 2020 by
I wanted to earn and learn at the same time so an apprenticeship was the perfect way- I get to study towards qualifications and once I’m finished hopefully work with Bransford Webb.
The best thing about my apprenticeship is learning on the job, working in every aspect of the company and meeting new people.
There are always challenges and currently I’m learning about new plants and how to combat pests and diseases which has pushed my knowledge and understanding.
All of the WCG staff are very helpful and are very knowledgeable about the industry and I am able to contact them at any point for help and guidance.
After my apprenticeship, I plan to stay in the company as a grower on my own area in the nursery. I want to continually develop my knowledge and training and hopefully work myself through the company.
