Real stories - Tom, 21Posted: 31st of October 2014 by Zara
“I decided my best chance of success would be to follow my own dreams, but I never thought Ingeus would be able to help me. Well, they certainly have!”
Tom’s passion for music meant that he was determined to find a job in the industry but struggled to find a role. “Since leaving school I applied for thousands of jobs,” he says, “But the competition is so fierce and the whole experience left me extremely frustrated.”
Thanks to a partnership between Ingeus and music training specialists All Star Entertainments, he has been awarded a year-long apprenticeship. The role will help him develop business skills, learn from record label owners and talk to industry professionals, as well as earn an NVQ in youth work.
Ingeus advisor Paul Clarke believes that, “Tom has sheer grit and determination and he is about to embark on an apprenticeship that could change his life.”
