Rebecca- Team Assistant Apprentice at Warner Bros

"I chose to do an apprenticeship because I believed it would give me both insight into the working world and practical experience, all whilst allowing me to study and work towards a qualification."

My Apprenticeship at Warner Bros.

I am a Team Assistant Apprentice in the International Licensee department. I am studying the Level 3 Business Administrator qualification.

Before beginning this apprenticeship I was working part-time in a shoe shop whilst completing my A Levels in History, English Literature and Sociology.

I chose to do an apprenticeship because I believed it would give me both insight into the working world and practical experience, all whilst allowing me to study and work towards a qualification.

What do you enjoy most about your apprenticeship?

The thing I enjoy most about doing an apprenticeship here at Warner Bros. is that I’m working alongside many industry experts. Working for such a large well-renowned company has given me a great understanding of how businesses work and operate on both a national and international scale.

I am confident that I will be well-equipped wherever my career takes me in the future.

I also get to benefit from watching early release films and receiving newly released DVDs!

What has been your highlight so far?

My highlight so far has been the chance to go the Warner Bros. Studios in Leavesden. It was a great opportunity to see what goes on behind the scenes!

What advice would you give to people thinking of doing an apprenticeship?

For people considering doing an apprenticeship, I would totally recommend it!  It gives you the experience of working in a great company (and being paid for it) all while working towards a qualification. Having this experience on your CV will really make you stand out to future employers and if you later-on decided that you would like to go to university then it is still an option for consideration once your apprenticeship is complete!
