The William Hill Story

It’s no surprise we’re known as the Home of Betting. Here at William Hill, we have a long and proud history. Founded in 1934, we’ve become famous for our expertise, great customer service and forward-thinking approach. And we’ve since grown into a global company. Not to mention one of the biggest names online and on the high street. We’re now there behind every bet and every game. Choose a career at William Hill, and who knows. You could help us write the next chapter of the William Hill Story.

Support & IT Functions

Before the betting process even starts, our support functions are on hand to make everything run smoothly. Our entire IT infrastructure is supported by a complex range of IT systems which keep everything in our shops, support functions and online on the go. For a business that relies so heavily on advanced technology, they're vital to everything we do. Just as important are our other support departments such as Human Resources and Finance. Working in such a fast-moving environment, our support services need to be as dynamic as the betting markets themselves.

Recognition & Reward

William Hill isn’t just rewarding for our customers. It’s rewarding for our people too. Our reputation as the Home of Betting relies on everything they do. So we do everything we can to make sure you’re well looked after and enjoy your job.

Whether it’s retail, marketing, finance, HR or IT, you’ll enjoy a great range of benefits and rewards. Not to mention full recognition for all your hard work. If you’re looking for a flexible job, either full time or part time, you’ll enjoy a great work life balance and an exciting range of benefits. If you’re looking to go further in your career, there’ll be lots of training and development opportunities too. Including a structured training programme that sees your rewards increase as your skills improve.

Working at William Hill

At The Home of Betting, everything we do revolves around making our customers feel at home in their interaction with us so that they keep coming back to William Hill.  To ensure that everybody in the business, wherever they work and whatever they do, remembers that day in, day out we have HOME.

HOME stands for the four key principles behind what makes William Hill a special place for both customers and colleagues.  HOME captures the very best of what William Hill people do and the areas where we need to get better and better to continue to be a successful business.

H is for Hungry for success.  Our people are always looking to do better than before and better than the competition.  From our sporting heritage we are very results focused and never settle for second best.

O is for Outstanding service.  Competition beating service has been at the heart of those working in our shops for a long time.  With the range of channels we now have, outstanding service that exceeds our customers' expectations has never been so vital to our success.  That incredible commitment to service has to travel throughout the business.

M is for Making it happen.  William Hill people are doers - we do not sit and watch, we do.  We welcome change and innovation and constantly look for new and better ways of doing things.

Last but certainly not least, E is for Everyone matters - every customer and every colleague.  Everybody has a role to play in the success of William Hill.  Great people are recognised for their contributions.  We understand that only by people working together across the William Hill one company can we stand out.

The HOME principles touch all aspects of day to day life at William Hill and are reflected in our approach to recruitment, induction, reward and development wherever you work and whatever you do.
